Purchase Marks Second Land Expansion in 60 Days

ROCHELLE, IL – Central States Trucking, one of the fastest growing trucking companies in the Midwest, has acquired seven acres of land in Rochelle expanding its operation to better serve its customers and further develop their customer base. The seven-acre parcel is located near the Union Pacific-Global III (UP-Global III), just off I-88, in Rochelle, Illinois. This purchase marks the second real estate expansion for Central States Trucking in the last two months and represents more good news for this family owned and operated trucking company. In March, Central States Trucking announced the development of a twenty-acre parcel in Joliet, Illinois (45 miles southwest of Chicago) where they will open a “satellite trucking office.” A similar “satellite” trucking terminal is planned for Rochelle. Central States Trucking will hire 10-15 drivers this year to serve its Rochelle facility.

“We are excited about this second real estate investment since it will allow us to better serve our customers in a more efficient manner, said Doug Grane, President, Central States Trucking. We are truly experiencing unbelievable growth and this investment will allow us the opportunity to improve upon our delivery of world-class intermodal service to the greater northwest Illinois marketplace.”

The UP-Global III facility will allow Central States Trucking to serve new and existing customers in a more secure and economical manner given the sites location.  (Rochelle is located about 90 miles west of Chicago).  This expansion, coupled with the March expansion, will allow Central States Trucking to better serve its growing customer base from the farthest corners of the southwest suburbs (Joliet) and now north-central Illinois (Rochelle) in a much more efficient manner.

With family trucking history dating to 1925, current ownership is proud to continue on as third generation entrepreneurs. Central States Trucking was founded in 1980 and today operates in six Midwestern states and employees 300 people with its headquarters located in Bensenville, Illinois. Central States Trucking serves customers in four specific areas of transportation: intermodal, dedicated contract, line haul and CFS warehouse (ocean and air freight break bulk).
