Bensenville, IL- July 5, 2010 - Central States Trucking (CST), founded in 1980, and currently one of the fastest growing trucking companies in the Chicagoland area, has acquired Baldwin Transfer Co.’s Wisconsin Division. The acquisition will allow CST to directly service the greater Wisconsin marketplace through Baldwin’s Milwaukee terminal.

All of the management, office staff, and drivers of Baldwin Transfer in Wisconsin will become employees of Central States Trucking and they will continue to provide the same high level of service to Wisconsin shippers and receivers as they have done since 1981. CST expects to double its driver base in Wisconsin in the coming months due to the new business brought on by this transaction.

The transaction will provide a platform for CST to expand upon their multi-modal service format which includes Intermodal Drayage, CFS Warehouse, Linehaul and Contract Dedicated Services. Bryan Grane, Senior VP / Business Development of Central States Trucking stated “Wisconsin is an excellent market with outstanding opportunities”.

“Baldwin offers an outstanding 30-year service track record that will quickly result in a more expansive service offering for Midwest shippers,” said Grane “Together CST and Baldwin will be the first intermodal drayage company to offer an infrastructure with both Illinois and Wisconsin locations, a combination that will blend Baldwin’s Wisconsin expertise with CST’s expansive Chicagoland coverage.”
