Purchases 20 Acres in Will county to Provide Better, More Efficient Service
JOLIET, IL – Central States Trucking (CST), founded in 1980, and currently one of the fastest growing trucking companies in the Chicagoland area, has acquired twenty acres of land in Joliet to improve efficiency and expand its customer base in the region. The twenty acre parcel is located near the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe- Logistics Park Chicago (BNSF-LPC). Now operating on the site formerly known as the Joliet Arsenal, BNSF-LPC is a multi-modal logistics venture that integrates, with surrounding communities, transportation, distribution and warehousing services.
“We are excited about this investment near BNSF-LPC since it will allow us to better serve our customers in a more efficient manner,” said Doug Grane, President, Central States Trucking. “With this satellite location, Central States pro-actively embraces the opportunity to improve upon our delivery of world-class intermodal service in the marketplace.”
The BSNF-LPC facility will allow Central States Trucking to serve new and existing customers in a more secure and economical manner given the sites location being within minutes of BNSF-LPC and the I-55 & I-80 interchange.
With family trucking history dating to 1925, current ownership is proud to continue on as third generation entrepreneurs. CST, headquartered in Bensenville, Illinois, has 300 employees and operates primarily in six Midwestern states. Central States Trucking serves customers in four specific areas of transportation: intermodal, dedicated contract, line haul and CFS warehouse (ocean and air freight break bulk).
